Sarasota Local

We have approx four British Pubs and Restaurants in Sarasota. The Coach & Horses situated off University Pkwy in the Parkway Plaza has to be the best.
They have the largest range of British Ale and Beer. The food is good basic 'Pub Grub'. Liver and onions, Fish & Chips, Shepards Pie, Cornish Pastie and Bangers and Mash.
You can sit in or out. Some nights of the week they have a quiz night and it get busy.
The staff treat you like a family member, It's like a big family atmosphere.

I have tried this a few times. The food is hot and you dont have to wait too long. The Liver and Onions is to die for. It comes out steaming hot, with bacon topped with dark gravy, Peas, Carrots and Mash Spuds. This has to be the best English pub in Sarasota.
On a downside the Cornish Pasties... They are not Cornish, more like English when you are married to a Cornish woman who can cook you know the difference. I just wont have them here again.
Overall I would give it 5 stars. It does have a nice atmosphere and does not cost a fortune.

I've never tried the Liver & Onions or the cornish Pasties, BUT I've had most of the other items on the menu.
To hear the Coach & Horses food called "Pub Grub" is pretty surprising to me.
The Coach & Horses pub is also a restaurant serving some of the best "grub" around. I could try to tell you some of my favorite dishes, but I'd feel bad leaving the other items out.
Do yourself a favor; whether your with friends or by yourself, go in, sit down and prepare to drink great beer, eat great food and to mingle with great people.
You wont be disappointed!
and if your there and you see me (sitting at the bar), say hi. I'd like to meet you.
