When it comes to choosing a wine, I am color blind. I like both and usually try to pick a wine which will complement the food we will be consuming. However in the not too distant past, the predominant color choice was white regardless of the food being served. It seemed most people prefered white over red; usually by a significant number. The red wine lover was in a minority. Today the numbers seem totally reversed. That is, the red wine drinker is in the majority and the white wine lover has been relegated to minority status.

Do you find that to be true in your dining circles? Do red wine drinkers now out number white wine drinkers? If so, why? Is it the Sideways effect?
