Pat McCall Who? Me?

My dear friend, Kim Crow, is performing at the Banyan Theater in The Queen of Leenane this week and I cannot wait to see it on Saturday! Meanwhile, I am awaiting final word on Sony Pictures Criss Cross - being shot around Miami. I auditioned for a TV restaurant spot Sunday. No dialogue, Just enjoying food that was not there and sharing it with a female companion - also not there. That's showbiz! I just signed up for the Del Sarte Improv class at FST. It's about the physicality of improv characte… Continue

Pat McCall Grateful

Spanish is not a language that I am anywhere near fluent in, but I was able to memorize a line well enough for a Toyota commercial. Somehow, my agentt thinks I have an Hispanic look. Must be the mustache. Sunday night a few Sarasota area actors and I got together to discuss how to grow careers and give mutual support. I think this group will get bigger. On Thursday, I'll be on a shoot playing a rogue detective in a film noir production being done in Tampa. I love those kind of roles. Continue

Pat McCall Lucky

The Rainy Season is upon us and the cranking up of TV and movie productions begins here. Burn Notice has started production again and there is talk of even more films having scenes shot in FL. Last week I auditioned at the Orlando Repertory Theater for a December production and this week it looks like more voiceover work is on the slate - along with an audition for an indie film to be shot in Tampa. It's a Bad Guy role that I always enjoy, so it should be fun. Continue
