The photographer for this book is someone I knew 20 years ago. Strangely enough we have walked paths that gave us the opportunity to travel, see the world and grow as individuals. Jan Michael was younger than I was - I remember Jan Michael talking about his passion for photography - the play of light and shadow that made color pop, glow, fade, and change what we look at.

Jan Michael became a master photographer - travelling on cruise ships and perfecting his natural talent. I became an IT person for a software development company. The industry the software was written for - the cruise industry. So we both travelled the ports.

We crossed path in a haphazard way over the years. Never really connecting, the literal meaning of passing ships in the night. We met here in Sarasota each time - once when Jan Michael was in between contracts on the ships, once down in Venice at a hardward store - I was getting a key and Jan Michael was talking with family. The third and last time we connected has been just recently.

About 9 months ago I put out a request to the universe to become involved in writing in some manner. About that time I was out on Siesta with a friend and felt a strong attraction to a store I had not seen before. I literally felt I was pulled into the store called Bliss - you may know it - just next to the Big Olaf Creamery? A

Anyway while there I noticed the upstairs and suggested to the manager they use it as a gallery - perfect square outline for walking the perimeter - great wall space ect. - This truely happened and I have a witness in my friend Jeanne who was with me that day. I left the store and evidently shortly after Jan Michael entered the store, spoke to the manager about the possibility of having a photography show; and before you know it he was hanging his photo's in a one man show. After discussion we believe we missed each other by mere minutes.

Further coincidence (or the universe connecting old friends) is that a friend of mine had met and hired Jan Michael to shoot a sequence of shots for her Nia business - bringing her new photographer with her to a "Law of Attraction" meeting which I was also attending - great joy at reconnecting. So now for the last two 2 months I have had the pleasure of working with Jan Michael to produce the metaphysical book "The Four Corners".

The last two months has been a journey of friendship, listening, reconnection and joy for me. Many of the pictures chosen for this book are of places I too have visited and so as I turn the pages I am struck by Jan Michaels comment " A moment in time, captured to be enjoyed over and over again."

I invite you to visit www.ringleverimages.com/fourcorners and enjoy the imagery.

Enjoy the peak at the wonders. - Cyndi
